$15B Auto Bailout…What?
In an attempt to pull the “wool over our eyes” Congress and the White House are in talks to offer the auto industry a $15 billion bailout. Do they think we are that stupid?
When the CEOs of the “Big Three” spoke before the Banking and Finance committee they asked for $38 billion and an economist that specializes in the auto industry said it would actually take between $75 and $125 billion. So what is the point of giving them $15 billion? Does Congress believe that they will be showing restraint by only giving $15 billion? C’mon!
I think we need to take some time and write our congressmen to tell them to seriously think about what is on the table. We need to let them know that we want them to do what is right!
